JP Morgan Registers Crypto Wallet Trademark

2022.11.22

Aiming to enhance the digital assets industry, JP Morgan, a New York-based multinational bank, has officially registered a trademark for a cryptocurrency wallet, the crypto media channel JPMorgan reported on November 21.

According to Kondoudis, a trademark attorney, the new wallet trademark for digital assets like Bitcoin (BTC) also covers other financial services, such as managing counterparty funds for electronic transfers, crypto payment processing, and virtual checking accounts.

Moreover, JPMorgan has devoted more attention to keeping track of metaverse-related developments as the firm modernizes and enhances its business operations. To speed up the delivery of its cloud payment products, the bank acquired California-based payment start-up Renovate Technologies as part of the industry’s development process.
